Thanks Meagan!

My friend had this posted on her blog and I really liked it, so I thought I would share it with my blog viewers. My family really has a passion for Thanksgiving so I thought they would appreciate this. I know my blog is super outdated but my camera broke and I need to put my pictures on a CD cause I can't get them off my camera. Stay tuned for an update soon, it will have to be a fall recap like my summer one. Sorry folks.

A Thanksgiving Proclaimation!

"It is the duty of nations as well as of men to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God; to confess their sins and transgressions in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations are blessed whose God is the Lord.
..................................................
We know that by his divine law, nations, like individuals, are subjected to punishments and chastisements in this world. May we not justly fear that the awful calamity of civil war which now desolates the land may be a punishment inflicted upon us for our presumptuous sins, to the needful end of our national reformation as a whole people?
..................................................
We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of heaven; we have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity; we have grown in numbers, wealth, and power as no other nation has ever grown.
..............................................
But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us, and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us.
.............................................
It has seemed to me fit and proper that God should be solemnly, reverently, and gratefully acknowledged, as with one heart and one voice, by the whole American people. I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November as a day of Thanksgiving and praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens."

Summer has now ended:(

In commemoration of summer coming to a close. (Sniff sniff). I thought I would highlight a little of my summer. The sad thing is that I feel like Summer is over and I have nothing really too exciting that happened to me over the summer. No Lake Powell trip, no camping, and I went boating like three times. With that out of the way, the few points I have to highlight are a little dull.

This was supposed to be the first of many fires, but it was actually the first and last fire. We usually have a ton more. This picture has a little east side pride. Can I get a Wha wha. This is the annual Breast Cancer marathon. We have been walking this for three years now, ever since we found out Blanca our sister-in-law had breast cancer. The group has changed every year as to who comes, but there is always a group that supports the cause and hopefully always will.
Most of my summer was spent hanging out with Mitch and his brother Jason . This is an example of the randomness of the activities we did. Ha ha Hands up Stands up, a childhood summer classic.
Little Xavier James came into our Crazy family June 5, 2008. Little Annie Sue is a monster next to him.
I got to spend some time with Augustus my cute nephew that lives in Denver that I hardly get to see. Look how cute he is.

Part two.

The amazing Summer Sunset in June coming down from swimming at Snowbird. This picture didn't even capture how beautiful this sunset really was. Fireworks on July 3,2008 this was some good times. Jenny Jones (my old roommate) her roommate Jenine and I and a bunch of other people I didn't really know. The fireworks at Granite High School are actually really good.
Lagoon, as I alreadly posted before I went to Lagoon, but like I already mentioned my summer was lame. (Not a whole lot to talk about).

My friends Kim and Shyla, and I all went on a Night Hike together to Lake Mary at Brighton. The moon was super cool that night and again the picute does not do it justice. Ah Lake Mary is the best Hike ever, especially swimming when you get to the top.
John Mayer! Need I say more? This was a super fun night, good times I had all my amigos there (Shyla, Kim, Holly, and Amy). Colbie Cailet was there too and I really love her.

Part three

Hiking Lake Mary with Mitch, Jason, and Jasons friend Rana. This is my favorite spot of the hike, the view of the canyon below is beautiful. Rana, Jason, Mitch and I.
This was the longest hike up to the Lake ever. Jason and Mitch like to play this game. "We have to play my favorite game." Mitch said. "You pick a pole or a tree and throw rocks at it" Well Jason was right on board. So this was the hike the entire time, throwing rocks at trees or poles.
Getting ready to get into the water up there. The water was so high, the jump was only like five feet if that. Overall this hike to Lake Mary was so much fun. The three of us together (Mitch, Jason, and I) we are like 12 year olds.
We went to the Nickelcade a couple times just before Jason left for school at Snow College go badgers.

Part 4

So we all pooled our tickets together and got a cap gun, it made Jason's day. He had lots of fun with that on the way home. It was good times at the Nickel Cade it felt like high school all over again. I went boating with Mitch's family. It was so much fun, we had the most chill day on the lake. They hardly take anything serious. This is Mitch Slaloming, hes pretty good. Good enough to impress even my dad I bet.
Yeah he is really like twenty shades darker then me.

This is Jason Wakeboarding, he is pretty good.

Dang these Greaves boys have some lakeside talent.

Part Five

This is Mitch's Dad and his brother Jason kneeboarding together. Like I said this was such a fun day. They started out just normal, then they were crossing under each others ropes. Then the next thing I know Mitch's dad is right next to Jason's kneeboard and I couldn't figure out what they were doing. Then I realized what they were doing....
Mitch's dad was getting on the back of Jason's kneeboard. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Then Mitch got out there and he always has to make a game out of everything. So he went on his back for a minute, then stood up for a minute and fell. This picture is when he and Jason did it at the same time. I swear they can do anything they try.
They thought it would be fun to share just one rope for a minute, but it took them forever to pick up the other rope. You can see it flapping around on the edge of the left hand side of this picture.
Then they decided to play the same game. Everything becomes a game to this family.

Part Six.

My whole life eversince I was 10 I have been trying to get up on the kneeboard and have not been able to do it. It't my boating arch nemesis. When Jason got tired it was my turn but I was nervouse cause Mitch can get right up and well me I can never get up. So I told him it wouldn't be any fun for him but okay. So needless to say I got right up first try. I was super stoked. I crossed the wake and didn't fall. Then Mitch decided I was ready for more tricks. He was going to go under my rope and I agreed with a lot of reluctance. So I did as I was told lift the rope higher so he could go underneath. However at the same time we hit a wave and my arms bounced back down just as he was going underneath. I was afraid of decapitating him so I let the rope go causing the kneeboard to smack me in the bridge of the nose. My kneeboarding stunts were over. Jason took a picture so I could see what it looked like. Although I got hurt on my first boat outing with the Greaves it was so much fun, and I am excited to get back out on the kneeboard. I still have a tiny battle wound scar. The last fun thing I did this summer was the U2 laser show at the Clark Planetarium with Jason, Mitch and their little sister Nicole. Mitch wanted to do something special the night before Jason went off to Snow so this is what he planned, it was actually really fun. We spent like an hour in the gift shop. (Mitch, Nicole, and Jason).
(Jason, Nicole and Me)
So now that summer is over I will have to do something exciting this fall so I can actually feel like I have a somewhat exciting life. Also so my blog isn't the most boring blog in all the blog land.

Tag your it...

My sister had this on her blog so I guess I will fill it out since it said tag your it.

6 Totally random facts about me.

1. I love to drink water but I am picky about how. If it is at a restaurant I need a straw. If it is at someones home I need a plastic cup. I do not like to drink water from glass cups because I think that the water smells like lake water so in turn my brain thinks it tastes like lake water. Hence the straw I can't smell the water plus I don't think that cups are clean enough at restaurants.

2. I cant stand it if my foods touch. I have some food issues and they have gotten much better but I still don't like my food to touch. It grosses me out to watch people mix corn in their mashed potatoes. I only eat one food item at a time and I eat things in circles. (Hamburgers, cookies, sandwiches, toast.) I also like to use separate utensils. If anyone knows me they understand this.

3. I have a new love! Lost the show. It is the most addicting show it is like crack cocaine. My favorite part is that they are all connected in their pasts and don't even know it. This show is so well thought out its crazy. I started watching them on DVD and we are almost through season three on DVD we can't wait until December for four. Ahhh. You should watch it.

4. I am going back to school to become a Pharmacist but because I was going to be a Social Worker I have lots of classes to take. So its like 6 or 7 years away.

5. I have recently learned that hair is just hair and it will grow back. I used to have a centimental irrational attachment to my hair and freak out everytime I cut my hair convinced my sister had cut off all the growth. But since I have cut my hair about 14 inches since april I'm completely over it. I cut of 8 then 2 more two weeks later. Then another 2 inches 8 weeks later, and just recently I chopped off another two to three inches. So counting the regrowth its been about 14 inches. I love it though.

6. I used to work at Hot Dog on a Stick and I absolutly loved it. I would work there again is the sad thing. So far it was probably my favorite job ever.

Since you are reading this you have to post your own so I can read them.

"Your friends will come and go, but your sisters will always be there"

I never would have thought that the comforting words of my mom when I was seven years old would continue to ring true throughout my life. When my sister Audrey and I were younger I had this friend named Kim who was my friend first. Then Audrey started coming to hang out with us, so we would get in fights. When I would complain to her she would always just say "Your friends will come and go but your sister will always be there." I think she meant it more as this is so lame you will both be over it in a day.

So to all you moms out there, chose your words wisely cause they will stick with your kids for life. The good and the bad, hopefully they will remember the good more. Pass along the most inspirational or influential words of your parents to your own kids. I know that I will.

My best friend has decided to live up to my moms words on more then one occasion, which when you have been friends for 21 years its like losing a sister in a way. The only difference is she can actually leave and my sisters can't.

So to my three longest Best Friends (my sisters). I love you! I don't know about you but I am truly greatful that Heavenly Father put you guys in my life. With all the good and the bad at the end of the day we will always be sisters. May we have many more good memories and grow old together. Sorry ladies but your stuck with me. Audrey you have been with me since I could only call you audwe. We have many memories as kids together, you and I were the most like friends you have always been my best friend ever since we spent our summers at the pool and ran around barefoot in the rain singing money for the poor. Amber you have always been the sister that I looked up to and thought was so cool. You took me to my first day of kindergarten when I was scared to go to school. You are always so funny, especially when we are alone. I think that I have enjoyed you more as a friend as an adult but its better late then never. I think I needed to grow up. Tiffany you have always been the one that took care of me. Your the sister that has always put a special vested interest into my life and happiness and for that I am infinatly grateful. You have been the sister I have always looked to for advice and probably always will.

I hope that you all have sisters and if you don't I am very sorry, hopefully you have amazing sisters-in-law. May all of your daughters be blessed with sisters. They are the best friends Heavenly Father intended you to have.

LAGOON!

I have been told many times that I act like I am seven years old. This last weekend I went to Lagoon and I was so excited all week that I could hardly sleep. It's like when you are in elementary school and you have a lagoon day and you just can't wait. That is really how excited I was. I just want to know if anyone was as upset as I was about the ride "The Samuri" being put in? When I think about Lagoon as a little kid I think of Eight things.

1. The Swings and being afraid to lose your shoes in the water or putting your arms on the outside of the chains and leaning forward but being totally scared to fall in the water. (all at the same time thinking that its the coolest swing you have ever been on and wondering if this is how birds feel when they fly.)

2. The Tidal Wave and lifting your hands up experiencing that first funny tummy feeling that you get on amusement rides, trying to be the loudest side to scream.

3. The Magic Carpet Ride which I know made a lot of people sick but I loved that ride, going backwards and forwards around and around. I loved that ride (you feel like Jasmine). So much to my dismay a few years ago they took that ride out and put in the Samuri which gives me a screaming headache.

4. The White rollercoaster and going on that ride a million times at the end of the night with my sister Tiffany and her friend Julie the first year I was tall enough to ride that ride. The sound of the old track and the old wood as you make the journey up that first hill. I also think of the family legend that my aunts friend Barb got stuck on that ride and had to ride around like 9 or 10 times. I don't know if it's true or not but I tell every new person I go to Lagoon with that story.

5. The Colosus (Which many of you know is not the real name. Isn't it the Dragon something or other?) and being scared to ride it for the first time and having to pee so bad my family told my my pee would hit eveyone on the ride when we went on those two loops.

6. The Jet Star II (Whatever happened to Jet Star I?) and hearing about the kids that weren't prepared for the stop and the one in backs teeth went into the head of the other one. (Which I am sure is so untrue). Its amazing how you go on the new rides like Wicked and they practically box you in just to keep you safe, but on this ride its like an open bob sled with one loose seat belt holding you in. I am sure it is not super safe but I love that ride.

7. The Airplanes I don't care what anyone says I love those silly airplanes and trying to get them to go as far out as possible by moving that heavy metal wing back and forth with all your might.

8. The Terror Ride I was so scared of that ride when I was little. Wasn't there a witch or something that came out of the shutters on the top? Or did I just imagine that?

Basically I just love lagoon. I even ditch my favorite shoes (flip flops) just so I can ride the swings. The new things that I love are dipin dots. You just can't go to Lagoon and not get some. Also that they have many water rides so you don't sweat to death. Which I like the Cliffhanger but unless you want to get everything wet including your kidneys don't ride that ride.

El Diablo

I was told to update my blog although I really have nothing exciting going on in my life right now. I thought I would share my story of the devil spider that was lurking in my bathroom one fateful day.

I come home and go to get in the shower, I take off my glasses and climb in. As many of you may know I am blind as a bat so things are a little fuzzy for me. I look in the corner of my shower and see this big black dot in the ceiling. So I thought to myself is my neighbor drilling holes in my ceiling spy on me. I get a little closer (too close) and its a spider a giant one. Well I am not too terrified of spiders so I continue showering with one eye open. My shower has the shower head that is actually a hose so I turn on the water full pressure and spray it on the spider. It caught the spider off guard and he goes dropping down from the ceiling. Then with the full pressure of the water on this devil spider he still climbed his way back up to the ceiling. Then I sprayed some cleaner on the spider, hairspray, and water but this spider was hanging on. I finally got him down into the tub and used nail polish remover on him and that polished him off.

The picture of him next to my toe is when he is a little shriveled from all the chemicals. He must be a very strong spider. I showed the Bugman that comes and sprays my work and he says that this spider is actually a really good spider that eats posionous ones but I wasn't taking my chances. My dog likes to eat spiders so I don't want any around. I have now developed this obsession with taking pictures of spiders or bugs in my house but sometimes they disappear while I am getting my camera.

The cutest mullet ever!

Okay so I do have a family I can write about and they actually have children and things going on in their lives I can write about. So my newest nephew Xavier James (I hope I spelled that right), was born on thursday the Fifth. He was number 14, crazy right. The funny thing is 8 of those 14 are under the age of 4. This little guy was the seventh boy bringing the boys back up to even with the girls. This little bundle of joy came 18 days early to my sister Amber and her husband Mike, weighing in at a healthy weight of 7 pounds and 2 ounces. He is so stinkin cute and he came rocking a mullet, he must be all about business and partys. Anyways I can't wait to get to know the little man and what can I say my family has beautiful children.

First blog!

So my sister Audrey asked me to start a blog because she wants to list her friends on the side of her blog but she doesn't have very many blogging friends. At first I was unwilling for various reasons. First of all I think that blogs are so cute when you are married and/or have kids. Well I don't have either. Personally I think that some of the blogs I have seen where it's just a single person are quite lame like "Oh my gosh the other day at school....". I really don't have that much going on in my life so for the three people who will actually read my blogs, you may be bored out of your gills. Like I mentioned before I don't have any kids except for a four legged hairy black dog. He is two so he has learned all his tricks, so I can't even blog about that. He can sit. stay, speak, rollover, catch treats off his nose, and do that last trick with just hand movements. He is a good boy and I am a proud mom, but that is not much to talk about. The only other thing I have going on in my life is work. I work at a raisin ranch and sometimes funny things happen, so that may be what I have to blog about. It may be a lame blog but I love my sister so I will do anything for her.
